John Doherty steps out under his own name for new single 'Just For The Record'
After seven years of fronting Little Hours, Donegal-born lead-singer John Doherty steps out under his own name for the first time.
John says, "Going out under my own name is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now. My songs have always been very personal, with the ones I’ve written recently more so than ever. So it feels like the perfect time to remove any barriers between me and my songs. I believe that it will allow me to be more honest, helping others to connect with my music more easily. I’ve loved every second and experience as Little Hours, and those songs will always represent a big part of my life. It’s just time to fully put myself out there as John Doherty, the singer/songwriter, which I couldn’t be more excited about."
The first single - Just For The Record - "a song about regretting how you let something good go because you’ve convinced yourself that the timing is wrong" - was produced by John and long-term studio collaborator Tommy McLaughlin at Attica Studios in Donegal.
’Just For The Record’ is now available on all streaming platforms.
