Ryan Sheridan releases 2nd single from upcoming album "Americana"
Hot-on-the-heels of ‘Parachute’, the lead track off his forthcoming album Ryan Sheridan keeps the momentum going with the release of his brand new single 'Drinkin' Alone’. 'Drinkin' Alone', is an upbeat, toe tapping, bluegrass influenced track with all the hallmarks of Ryan’s own unique, high energy, guitar playing.
Speaking about the track Ryan said:
“‘Drinkin’ Alone’ was such a great track to record. It’s a fun, upbeat, let-it-all-loose kindda song. Yes, it’s a wry look at a broken heart, but ‘Drinkin’ Alone’ is about being able to let loose when you're down, to get it out of your system, and enjoy the music while you’re doing it”.
'Drinkin' Alone' is also the second single from his forthcoming 'Americana' album, which will be released worldwide on Friday May 6th 2022. On this album, Ryan explores a contemporary Americana songbook, rooted in folk, blues and country music. Having travelled extensively around the US as a teenager, he took the time afforded by lockdown to rediscover his love of American roots music.
Ryan added:
I’ve experienced many styles of music while touring the US over the years. I felt lockdown was the ideal time to put this album together and I have truly enjoyed the experience of producing it. It has been cathartic to be back making albums and releasing singles and i’m excited to see what the future brings! From broken hearts to broken strings, ‘Americana’ is a collection of truly great tracks with my own stamp on them!
